Golden Prairie Motel

From the outside this place does not look like much. But my room was clean and quite fabulous. Check-in was very easy, through phone and keypad. They have for sale signs so I believe they are trying to sell the motel so I’m not sure how long it will be here. I Was one of the only people staying last night so it might be winding down, but if it is still here, I recommend it totally.

Clean spacious rooms that look newly renovated. Comfortable sleep number beds. New microwave and a fridge with a larger freezer space than usual in small motels. We were able to check in after hours by calling the number on the office window. The only thing I couldn’t figure out was to turn the bedside lights off from the bed (switch by the door).

I was tired my shift was almost over stopped to get fuel and then as I was driving off I seen this motel with an open sign it was plenty of room for my truck. I stopped and was relieved to get a room so late at night! I was very surprised at how clean and comfortable the room was! It had sleep number beds, fridge, microwave,table. I normally don’t stay at places like this, but I would definitely say it is better than many other big name low budget hotels I have stayed at by far!!! I would stay here again. Don’t judge a book by its cover is what I will say.

The manager was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and the white bed sheets made the room looked more like a hotel than a motel. My first time to be in a motel with a sleep number bed. Very nice! The room was cleaned and fresh towels were provided everyday. The place to stay in Sublette, KS!

Very spacious rooms with modern amenities like flat screen TV, mini fridge and microwave. Comfortable beds, great shower pressure with plenty of hot water. Definitely would stay here again and recommended it to anyone. Also great value for the room! Bathroom a little small and the towels could've used some fabric softener, but overall a very pleasant stay.

My mom, sis, and I were travelers who don't drive after dark. We were in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma so I figured where we would end up at dark, which was Sublette,KS. I called ahead and a young lady named Joy got me set up. Mind you, due to a very bad review left by some guy we were apprehensive about this motel. Some guy wrote that the motel was so bad he got his money back and slept in the car. Well, we got the room and couldn't have been happier. The room was roomy, clean, quiet and the beds were firm and comfy. We had a freezer for our ice cream and they left ample delicious coffee. We had done airbnbs the whole trip and Golden Prairie held it's own. Great price! Great sleep!

$70 but worth it when you’re in the middle of B.F.E. on a cross country road trip heading home from laying my father to rest. I needed to relax and this was convenient. Good cold A.C. nice hot shower, tv with plenty of channels and a comfy bed. There was plenty of toiletry, towels, soaps, toilet paper etc. a mini fridge and a microwave with a little general store not far down the road. Only thing I suggest is throw away the ate up rotting chairs outside by the doors and clean the bathroom door, it was filthy and the toilet seat was sticky, and invest in some cleaner towels and linen. The blanket on the bed smelled like a musty man slept there before me so I ended up just using the sheet. Pillows were comfy. Very clean room overall just could use a little updating kind of a musty old smell that went away after I aired it out or my nose went blind lol.

Very decent sized rooms. Most things worked great. Very kind phone call. Far price. Parking lot -10 / 10 But that's not that big of a deal.
